Fall in love with special Valentine's Day yogurt creations at Yogurt Palace!

Ruby red, heart-shaped strawberries – what better fruit to adorn creamy vanilla frozen yogurt on Valentine’s Day? Sprinkle some shredded coconut on the top to create a luscious dessert.

You’ll fall in love with the special Red Velvet-flavored yogurt adorned with white chocolate and chocolate chips. Of course, this is an adorn-your-own yogurt shop, so you may use any combination of toppings.

What is Valentine’s Day but a tribute to the people we love? Surprise your spouse, friends or “significant other” with a yogurt hug from any of the flavors available! On Main in Fallbrook, Yogurt Palace awaits.

Besides the non-fat yogurt offered, customers may enjoy lunch. In the back of the café, pots of soup and chili simmer. Yogurt Palace serves one of the best chicken salad sandwiches around – with fresh chicken, sprouts and lettuce on whole wheat (with nuts!) bread.

They stock strawberries galore. These are not just any strawberries either. The owners, sisters Cynthia Avina and Sherene Pierce, buy the strawberries each morning in Vista. The fruit is fresh picked—just off the farm! Attention to flavor detail is what has made this cozy yogurt shop a success for 13 years. That is how long the sisters have owned the establishment, but Yogurt Palace, under the former owners, has been offering tasty treats for 35 years.

The opportunity presented itself in the form of a summer job for Cynthia; and then evolved into a business opportunity that has become a cherished part of her life and the life of her sister, Sherene.

“Our customers are our friends,” Cynthia commented.

“We love them – they are the ones who keep us going,” added Sherene.

Because Cynthia and Sherene want to honor their customers, they have lined the walls with customer photos. The walls are about full to capacity and the sisters now have more recent photos in albums. These photos, as well as the delicious scents of yogurt, create a cozy, homey, inviting atmosphere.

Yogurt Palace is located at 130 S. Main Ave., Fallbrook, and is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The telephone number is (760) 728-9027.
