O.K. I’ll bite. Last week I wrote in the blotter, no murder listed, bad for business but to my amazement, this weeks blotter fails to list this murder as I figured. How can the people of Fallbrook trust our law enforcement (SDSO) when they fail to tell us the truth about what is happening in our community. My question to them is what else are you not telling us?

I have lived in many places but I have never seen any law enforcement agency operate the way the SDSD does in Fallbrook. Too many secrets IMO.

Get a Clue: Notice in this weeks sheriff blotter (02-03-11). No mention of the murder? Reason why is he died at Palomar Medical Center so his death is classified by ststistics as a death in Escondido, not Fallbrook. See how these numbers can be skewed to fit whatever you want.

Get a grip, Ray. A murder will be attributed to the jurisdiction where the crime occurred, not the hospital where he died.

I have no doubt the FVN is not getting the full scope of the weekly crime stats, not because they are “hiding” things – but because whatever format they use (pressboard, maybe?) to receive the info is not being done correctly. The darn murder was in the newspaper. What reason would they have for NOT putting it on the pressboard? Hmmm… maybe because there are statutes that limit what can be placed on said board(s), like rapes, child molestation, spousal beatings, etc. Maybe homicide falls under that category.

These Sheriff logs mean nothing to me, other than peeking my curiosity, since we know that many are not listed for a variety of reasons.

Ray, very frightening how the stats are manipulated. Crazy!
