Cheerleading Championships

The “Hot Shots” Cheerleaders, coached by Allison Abbott and Lisa Mares, are excited to announce they will be representing Fallbrook in the JAMZ Jr. All-Star Cheer and Dance National Championships held in Las Vegas, Nevada, Feb. 25-27.

The cheerleaders competed in the Junior All-Star division at the Universal Cheerleaders Association Regional Competition Nov. 20 and the JAMZ Jr. Regional Cheer and Dance Championships Dec. 4. They qualified for both the UCA National Championships and the JAMZ Jr. National Championships.

This year the team has 19 members ranging from 9 to 13 years of age. Team Captain is Sarah Garcia; Co-Captain is Courtney Arestad. Several members have tumbling and previous cheerleading skills; however, most of the team members have never participated in cheerleading before. Both coaches are happy to see the team working hard and very eager to learn new skills. The coaches were very pleased to see the parents so excited for their daughters when they performed. The parents were very pleased to see the skills their daughters and their teammates have accomplished in the last three months. Thank you, Fallbrook, for supporting our cheerleading program. The girls enjoy representing their community!
