The boys varsity lacrosse team from Fallbrook High played against the Helix Highlanders on the Fallbrook field March 22. Helix came in with a good reputation from their previous successful team during the 2003 season, when they finished second in league, while the Warriors’ current season team has evolved from last year’s club of players into an active group with plenty of experience on the field.
The Warriors found a way to score goals with their attackers playing great offense against the Helix defense, allowing Fallbrook to score multiple goals each quarter. In a game well played, Fallbrook finished up outscoring the Highlanders by a comfortable margin, controlling the game with ease as the clock wound down. The Highlanders battled but were outplayed by the victorious Fallbrook team, final score 9-13.
The Fallbrook varsity team is on a roll this season and will be looking forward to more challenges when they play future away and home games versus Carlsbad and Poway.
