Fallbrook snags four in a row at Senior Cribbage Challenge

ribbage team squeaked out a win to make it four wins out of four matches in 2005 over the Oceanside team. Unknown at the time to the players was the fact that if either one of the last two games won by Fallbrook had gone the other way, Oceanside would have won the match. Leading the way for Fallbrook were George Williams, Bob Spanbauer and Ray Lanoue, who placed first, third and fourth, respectively. The top Oceanside players were Sharon Fly, Janet Dunne and Cheryl Selvaggio (second, fifth and sixth).

There were 37 peggers in the match, which was played at the Fallbrook Senior Center. Albertsons, located at 3925 Mission Ave. in Oceanside, donated a $25 gift card that was won by Bill Venn of the winning Fallbrook team.

The next match will begin at 12:30 p.m. on May 26 at the Fallbrook Senior Center at 399 Heald Lane. The matches consist of seven games and new players are welcome to join in on the fun.
