Fallbrook wins easily in Feb. Senior Challenge

At the cribbage match held at the Fallbrook Senior Center on February 24, the Fallbrook team pegged their way to their second straight win this year. There were 41 players and first place Norm Peterson had hot cards, winning all six games with two skunks.

Playing a warm-up game before the match, Barbara Sacic had a 28 hand. She kept up the good cards to claim second place also with six wins but without any skunks. Helping pace Fallbrook to their win were third place tournament director Obie Weeks and fifth place Ron Bragger. The top Oceanside player was Eileen Haworth, who secured fourth place.

Fallbrook team player Lois Ash won the $25 gift card donated by the Fallbrook Albertsons store.

The next Challenge will be held March 24 at Vista Elks Lodge, located at 1947 E Vista Way, phone (760) 724-1968. Play will start at 12:30 p.m. Players, please take note of the new place and starting time. New cribbage players are always welcome. You don’t need to reside in Oceanside or Fallbrook to play.
