Lady Warriors outshine the Sun Devils

The Fallbrook High girls varsity lacrosse team played the Sun Devils from Mount Carmel and cooled down their heat during their match-up on May 11.

The game had just nearly started when Warrior Alex Zeringue launched a nice shot through the Devils’ goalie to score the first goal.

The girls roared in support of their teammate’s goal, but then the cheers shifted the other direction when the Sun Devils’ forward put in the second goal, which evened up the score 1-1.

The next Warrior game highlight was Courtney Freaney’s goal before halftime that eased them into the lead 2-1 at the half.

The Sun Devils’ goalie was not able to block the net from Warriors Tiffany Hunter and Angie Scoma, who both scored during the second half. The Devils could only return one more goal before the time expired, with the Warriors winning 4-2.

The girls played like true Warriors, and when it comes down to playing hard, they did it best playing on their home field.
