Varsity soccer prevails over RBV

The Warriors varsity soccer team was successful when they defeated their competitor from Rancho Buena Vista, the Longhorns. Fallbrook’s Manuel Valasques and Joseph Paul were amongst the Warriors who were fortunate enough to get the scoring touch. The whole team performed excellently throughout the match. Splendid moves by the Warriors involved give and goes, working the ball into shooting range. The mighty Warriors accounted for three goals in contrast to the Longhorns’ one, giving victory to Fallbrook.

The Warrior JV team also had a duel with the Longhorn team but could not pull it together enough to excel over the Longhorns. The one to one halftime score revealed a tie until a pass slipped by the Warriors and was converted to a goal. The Longhorns added a third goal and played courageously. They played the rest of the match without letting any goals squeeze by, closing out the game 3-1 over the Warriors.

The varsity girls took an early lead on the Carlsbad Lancers, who came to Fallbrook and trailed the Warriors in the first due to a goal by Warrior Jessica Almendarez. The Lancers recoiled with a drive to the goal and settled the score even. The Carlsbad goalie performed 11 blocks and kept the score down to one, ending the game in a tie 1-1.
