At 5:39 pm today a Honda CR-V collided with a CHP motorcycle officer. The incident happened at S. Mission and Green Canyon Rd. The officer was attended to by the North County Fire Protection District paramedics and appeared to have suffered minor injuries. Christen Cavanaugh suffered traumatic injuries Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 8:38 pm when she was struck by a vehicle in the 1200 block of Fallbrook Street near the Community Center. Fallbrook Street was closed from both directions while emergency services and first responders provided advanced life support. North County Firefighters are working to put out a fire near the Riverside/San Diego County line in DeLuz that is being called the Tenaja Fire. It currently appears to be one to two acres but is described as dense brush and firefighters are working to reach the fire. A woman was detained and taken into custody at the Fallbrook substation this morning after a 245 Assault with a Deadly Weapon call at 8:41 am in the 300 block of W. Clemmens in Fallbrook. A black Dodge Charger burst into flames Thursday afternoon on Interstate 15 Northbound, causing a significant traffic disruption near Fallbrook northbound near Mission Rd. The California Highway Patrol reported the vehicle fire at approximately 2:40 p.m. local time. At about 7:30 this morning Fallbrook Sheriffs responded to a commercial burglary call at 1032 S. Main Ave at Fallbrook Guns and Ammo. Upon arrival it appears a car smashed into the back of the building but Sheriffs didn't find the driver or anyone inside. On Friday, June 7, the Sheriff received a call for a prowler on Calle de la Paloma. According to Lt. Fox in the Sheriff's Media Center, the person was transported for mental health issues after being assessed by NCFPD personnel. North County Fire Protection District responded to a car and vegetation fire that was reported at 2:46 pm on Tuesday, 5/21. The car was fully engulfed on the southbound Mission Rd offramp.
