A call came in at 8:32 am this morning of an armed suspicious person inside the Hearth coffee shop in the 100 block of Main Ave. Fallbrook Sheriffs arrived and questioned the man, who appeared to be older, maybe in his 70s. Authorities have cleared a traffic collision that briefly blocked the intersection at Pico and Mission Rd. early this morning. The incident occurred around 8:45 a.m. at the crossing of North Pico Avenue and Mission Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, a black Mitsubishi Lancer collided with a white Nissan Quest, resulting in both vehicles blocking traffic. UPDATE: A Fallbrook man, Chase Trulove, 18, was one of the two men arrested for the Escondido carjacking that ended in Fallbrook on Saturday, sending one woman to the hospital. Trulove was arrested on charges including carjacking, conspiracy, hit and run, and evading police. A crash resulted in one person being transported to a local hospital and another was arrested on Wednesday. The crash was reported at 3:06 pm in Fallbrook at E. Mission and 1324 Macadamia Dr.According to the San Diego County Sheriff's Communications Center, Lt. What appears to have been a three vehicle collision, happened tonight, at 1837 E. Mission Rd. In Fallbrook. The accident was reported at 6:06 pm. The Westbound lane was closed for a period of time. A manufactured home was reported to be on fire Thursday, March 14 at 9:28 a.m. at 235 W. Aviation Road, space 38, in the middle of downtown Fallbrook. North County Fire Protection District arrived in about two minutes and had the home, fully engulfed in fire extinguished in three minutes. A man on a motorcycle was reported to have e been hit by a driver in a black Nissan truck near Pico and East Mission tonight, March 18, at 5 :30 pm. A person following the Nissan Truck was able to follow them and record the license plate and give it to the rider, according to a witness on the scene. NCFPD was on the scene but CHP hadn't arrived. Friends of Veronica Castillo, like Lido Favela (Liduvina Favela), are helping her raise money to replace her home and furnishings, clothing, etc. after a fire fully engulfed her manufactured home on Thursday morning. At about 9:30 am, this morning, Sunday, March 10, a woman, reported to be a senior, drove her car into the building of Yumi Sushi at 855 S. Main. This is the second incident in a month where a car drove into a building. Last month a person drove into the fitness studio next door to Yumi Sushi and reportedly fled on foot. An indecent exposure call came into the Sheriff's dispatch at 11:21 am this morning, Sunday, March 3. There was a man reported to be completely naked in public at the 300 block of North Brandon in Fallbrook. Traffic was affected for several hours on the SR 78 near El Camino Real when at 4:13 pm a black sedan collided at a high rate of speed with a large construction tractor that was parked on the side of the road. The collision was severe, resulting in the front of the vehicle being described as “completely gone”, and the driver becoming unconscious. It is not known if the drive survived. At 12:53 pm today, Feb 22, there was a Suspicious circumstance call that came into the Sheriff's department. A couple of tarps were lying in the field at the corner of S. Mission. It appeared there may be a body under on of the tarps and, indeed, there was a man who was homeless from out of town, according to people on the scene. He appeared to be ok. Thursday, Feb. 15, there was a burglary, and hot prowl reported in the 200 block of E. College St. in Fallbrook at 11:12 am. The homeowner arrived at his house and it appeared to Tony Campbell, on the scene for Village News, that the homeowner heard male voices inside his home and called the Sheriff.
