A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 15 North near the Gopher Canyon Road exit disrupted traffic Thursday afternoon, with emergency responders arriving at the scene to manage injuries and clear debris. A vegetation fire was reported at 12:02 pm on Wednesday 11/20/24. It was burning in two spots on the southbound lane of Old 395 near Lilac Rd. which was closed while they fought the fire. There is only one-way traffic being allowed on Reche Rd as well as 395 in both directions. There are about 20 SDGE large trucks and two cranes that are installing new power poles on Hwy 395. Traffic is backed up in all directions for about 15 minutes. There are also gas lines being installed on Alvarado St. in front of the Sheriff's substation all the way to Brandon Rd. W. In the original early version of this story, we reported that six people had been transported from witness accounts that were on the scene. However, NCFPD PIO John Choi confirmed with Village News that it was four people transported that night. One person was transported with moderate injuries and three with moderate injuries. A working residential fire was reported on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 3:41 pm at 3017 Olive Hill Rd. NCFPD (North County Fire Protection District), Vista Fire and CDF (California Dept. of Forestry) worked collectively to get the fire under control. One car, it appeared hit a parked truck, possibly after colliding with another car coming in the opposite direction. Ann Corrine Gustafson, age 27, was arrested Tuesday night, Oct. 1, for the bludgeoning of George Villareal, age 67, and his wife, Nancy Dobson-Villareal, 66. A flair up from the Line Fire in the San Bernardino County mountains can be seen from Fallbrook. There have also been smaller fires in Lake Elsinore, Perris and Winchester reported today. One person was transported after a two-vehicle collision that occurred Monday evening on northbound Interstate 15 near Mission Road in Fallbrook, according to the California Highway Patrol. At about 7:30 pm tonight, Friday, Sept 20, a white sedan became fully engulfed in fire on the southbound I15 freeway just north of the Mission Rd offramp. The car was on the right hand shoulder but three lanes of the freeway were temporarily closed. NCFPD arrived and had the fire extinguished within a few minutes. No one was transported with injuries.
