A working residential fire was reported on Wednesday, Oct. 23 at 3:41 pm at 3017 Olive Hill Rd. NCFPD (North County Fire Protection District), Vista Fire and CDF (California Dept. of Forestry) worked collectively to get the fire under control. At 6:43 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 15, two cars were towed after a collision at 936 E. Mission. One car, it appeared hit a parked truck, possibly after colliding with another car coming in the opposite direction. Both east and west lanes were blocked for a few minutes while first responders cleaned up the accident and attended to the drivers.... Full story
A motorcycle accident on I15 south, just south of the Mission Rd onramp involving a truck and another car briefly caused disruptions along I15, according to a California Highway Patrol (CHP) incident report. The crash occurred at approximately 6:23 a.m., when a motorcyclist was reportedly lane-splitting and was struck by a truck. A flair up from the Line Fire in the San Bernardino County mountains can be seen from Fallbrook. There have also been smaller fires in Lake Elsinore, Perris and Winchester reported today. Several more tankers have been called up today to help fight the Line Fire. It was reported to have burned over 40,000 acres and was 85% contained before the flair up.... Full story
