  • Man and dog require first responder attention

    This morning at 10:31 am, May 1, there was a medical emergency call on S. Main Ave and Ash St. There was a man who appeared to be unconscious and possibly homeless, according to witnesses on the scene. There was also a small dog which appeared to have a rope too tightly around it's neck. When the Sherriff's Department and NCFire responded, the man appeared to be in pain, yelling, saying he was tired of being beaten up and robbed. They have arrested a man, reported to be Gary Ocampo, age 23, who is accused of committing a crime while out on bail and domestic violence.     The 18-year-old driver of a Kia was arrested in the early morning hours today, April 2, on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, felony evading, and two counts of felony child endangerment after a pursuit from Riverside to Vista ended in a crash with four occupants detained and rushed to area hospitals with unknown injuries. CHP responded to a three-vehicle collision on S. 395, north of SR 76 at Canonita Dr. at 6:35 pm tonight, Tuesday.     SDG&E is reporting two outages at 4:57 pm today, Monday, March 27, 2023. One circuit, FB1, is affecting over 1041 homes and businesses in central Fallbrook. The other circuit is affecting 1957 homes from the Live Oak area down to the SR 76. SDG&E reports that they are investigating the outages and they estimate that the power will be back on by 7:30 pm to 8 pm. Alll power was restored.   • Riverside pursuit ends in Bonsall

    Early breaking news story At about noon today, Sunday, one motorcycle rider was taken into custody by CHP, according to witnesses on the scene in Bonsall River Village. Reports are that the pursuit started in Riverside and included two motorcycles. Apparently, one was able to escape the pursuit.     Two brothers, 27-year-old Dionicio Miguel Figueroa and 38-year-old Carlos Miguel Figueroa, pleaded not guilty this week to stabbing and killing a Vista man, 39-year-old Manuel Aguirre, in Bonsall last Thursday, Feb. 23. An SUV is being reported on its side just north of Mission Rd. off-ramp and another grey Toyota Yaris in the center divide just south of Mission which is just a spin-out.
