  • No injuries reported from car fire that closed the #2 lane of SR 76

    A white Nissan sedan's engine caught fire on the right-hand shoulder of the eastbound side of SR 76 near North River Rd. at about 6:20 pm on Friday, causing the 2nd lane to be closed. One person on site expressed disappointment that cars were not pulling over to the right as is the law, to allow paramedics to get to the scene as quickly and safely as possible.     What appears to have been a three vehicle collision, happened tonight, at 1837 E. Mission Rd. In Fallbrook. The accident was reported at 6:06 pm. The Westbound lane was closed for a period of time. A blue Chevy Silverado, hauling a trailer carrying furniture crashed. Also involved was a black Ford Explorer and a white GMC Sierra.     A manufactured home was reported to be on fire Thursday, March 14 at 9:28 a.m. at 235 W. Aviation Road, space 38, in the middle of downtown Fallbrook. North County Fire Protection District arrived in about two minutes and had the home, fully engulfed in fire extinguished in three minutes.   • Motorcyclist down after hit and run

    A man on a motorcycle was reported to have e been hit by a driver in a black Nissan truck near Pico and East Mission tonight, March 18, at 5 :30 pm. A person following the Nissan Truck was able to follow them and record the license plate and give it to the rider, according to a witness on the scene. NCFPD was on the scene but CHP hadn't arrived.     At about 9:30 am, this morning, Sunday, March 10, a woman, reported to be a senior, drove her car into the building of Yumi Sushi at 855 S. Main. This is the second incident in a month where a car drove into a building. Last month a person drove into the fitness studio next door to Yumi Sushi and reportedly fled on foot.
