This morning, April 11th, at approximately 10:12 a.m. North County Fire received a call for a truck that exploded and caught fire while driving south on De Luz Rd. Officials on the scene have contained the situation but all traffic has been stopped at De Luz and Patton Oak Rd. so Adams' Tow could move through and clear out the charred remains of the truck. As of 11:10 a.m. the scene is still active and it is suggested you avoid the area. No injuries have been reported....

A white Nissan sedan's engine caught fire on the right-hand shoulder of the eastbound side of SR 76 near North River Rd. at about 6:20 pm on Friday, causing the 2nd lane to be closed. One person on site expressed disappointment that cars were not pulling over to the right as is the law, to allow paramedics to get to the scene as quickly and safely as possible. What appears to have been a three vehicle collision, happened tonight, at 1837 E. Mission Rd. In Fallbrook. The accident was reported at 6:06 pm. The Westbound lane was closed for a period of time. A blue Chevy Silverado, hauling a trailer carrying furniture crashed. Also involved was a black Ford Explorer and a white GMC Sierra. Injuries are unknown at this time. A Driving under the influence call came into the Sheriff's office at about 10:30 am, Thursday, March 28. A woman driving a red Astrostar van was observed driving around town, parking in the middle of the street, getting out of her van in the street, cursing at people and waving something on a string that appeared to be glass or crystal. A Flood Watch is in effect from late Friday night through Sunday afternoon, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) in San Diego.- A strong Pacific storm will bring moderate to heavy rain Saturday, followed by scattered showers and thunderstorms Saturday night through Sunday afternoon. A manufactured home was reported to be on fire Thursday, March 14 at 9:28 a.m. at 235 W. Aviation Road, space 38, in the middle of downtown Fallbrook. North County Fire Protection District arrived in about two minutes and had the home, fully engulfed in fire extinguished in three minutes. A man on a motorcycle was reported to have e been hit by a driver in a black Nissan truck near Pico and East Mission tonight, March 18, at 5 :30 pm. A person following the Nissan Truck was able to follow them and record the license plate and give it to the rider, according to a witness on the scene. NCFPD was on the scene but CHP hadn't arrived. Friends of Veronica Castillo, like Lido Favela (Liduvina Favela), are helping her raise money to replace her home and furnishings, clothing, etc. after a fire fully engulfed her manufactured home on Thursday morning. Castillo was born and raised in Fallbrook. She is a single mom with three children. They lost everything. At about 9:30 am, this morning, Sunday, March 10, a woman, reported to be a senior, drove her car into the building of Yumi Sushi at 855 S. Main. This is the second incident in a month where a car drove into a building. Last month a person drove into the fitness studio next door to Yumi Sushi and reportedly fled on foot. A car hit a tree in the middle of the block of 231 N. Main Ave., Tuesday night around 7:20 PM. The driver was suspected of possibly being under the influence of alcohol. The car was towed away and it was cleared by 9:19 pm. The tree was deemed damaged and removed today, Wednesday, March 6. After a reported hit-and-run tonight, a group of bystanders took the initiative to flip the car back on its wheels, before the fire department was able to get to the scene, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. At Pala Rd and Horse Creek Ranch Rd, there was a traffic collision reported at 1:46 pm today, Sunday, that resulted in a portion of the traffic signal crashing to the ground. At 3:02 pm on Saturday, January 6, there was a rollover reported on SB I-15 just south of the Mission Rd. onramp in Fallbrook. “Six people were transported to local hospitals. A hatchet-wielding robber was arrested tonight, Sunday, Dec. 31, after Sheriff's deputies were called to the Pala Mesa Market on Old 395 in Fallbrook on New Year's Eve. The incident was called in at 6:17 pm when a male threatened the market's floor manager after being confronted for stealing several items. Bonsall resident Michelle Mack was arrested On December 6, when federal agents raided Mack's residence, arresting her and seizing hundreds of parcels and a large quantity of alleged stolen goods. Mack is accused of orchestrating a national shoplifting operation targeting Ulta Beauty stores, resulting in over $8 million in stolen merchandise, according to Ulta.
