Friday evening at 4:31 pm the Fire Station #2 property on Winterwarm Dr. in Fallbrook had a vehicle crash onto it and create quite a bit of damage. No one was hurt, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. A head-on collision between a Sprinter van and a sedan on E. Mission near Via Zancas resulted in an adult male with life threatening injuries and the Sprinter van on fire. A male suspect, Forest Estrada, was taken into custody yesterday evening after a pursuit that ended in San Marcos. Four patients were transported to local hospitals and all lanes on S. Mission near Peppertree are open after being closed on the northbound side, according to North County Fire Protection District. SAN DIEGO - The San Diego City Council today passed an emergency ordinance requiring all city employees to be fully vaccinated from COVID-19 by Wednesday or face getting fired. The mandate will also apply to all future city employees. City contractors also must be fully vaccinated, but they have until Jan. 3 to do so. A two-vehicle accident closed all lanes north of the 76 on the Southbound side, however, one lane is now open. NCFPD crews arrived on the scene to find a two-vehicle traffic accident with one vehicle fully engulfed, which caught the second vehicle on fire. In addition to a two-vehicle car accident and fire that has I-15 southbound freeway lanes closed (see related story), there were several other medical emergencies and accidents that kept NCFPD first responders busy this Thanksgiving. Following an RV fire on Ammunition Rd, two civilian patients were transported via ambulance to UCSD hospital. One adult male was reported to have smoke inhalation and burns to his arm and one minor suffered smoke inhalation, according to North County Fire PIO John Choi. A driver was transported via air ambulance to Palomar Medical Center after crashing their car on S. Mission early this morning, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. "It was a rescue traffic collision with one patient trapped with life-threatening injuries in the 1700 block of S. Mission Rd. The southbound lane of S. A "broken and blowing" natural gas line was reported at 9:10 am in the 35000 block of Brown Galloway Lane in the Horse Creek Ridge area of Fallbrook. North County Fire has crews building a perimeter with gas monitoring equipment creating an evacuation zone. NCFPD PIO Choi advises people to avoid the area. Several houses in the neighborhood south of Fallbrook High School were evacuated by North County Firefighters Saturday morning, Oct. 9, at 8:39 am after a contractor hit a natural gas line at a residence, according to NCFPD PIO John Choi. At 12:27 am Sunday morning, September 5, a fire was reported in the 2500 block of Rainbow Valley Blvd. at Everde Growers Nursery in Rainbow. A traffic collision happened Saturday night, Sept. 4, at about 7:45 pm at Old Stage Rd and S. Mission Rd in Fallbrook. According to what an observer told the CHP, it was a green Honda Accord vs. a White Toyota Camry. According to the CHP report there were no injuries.
