FALLBROOK - Residents reported flooding at nearby homes after someone reportedly hit a fire hydrant around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, and left the scene near the corner of Palomino and McDonald Roads in Fallbrook. The broken hydrant sent thousands of gallons of water into the air and allegedly into the homes of a few nearby houses. "I believe there were at least three homes damaged," said Jenny Bernier. CAMP PENDLETON - NBC 7 has reported that two Camp Pendleton Marines were caught attempting to transport three undocumented immigrants near Tecate on July 3. NBC reported that the "undocumented immigrants told border agents they had agreed to pay the Marines $8,000 to take them north from the border to Los Angeles, eventually intending to head to New Jersey. PALA - A vegetation fire that broke out on the 9800 block of Pala Road near the Pala Band of Mission Indians reservation was halted by CalFire San Diego crews in association with Pala Fire by 11:18 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15. DE LUZ - North County Fire Protection District reported a traffic collision at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 12 in the area of Sandia Creek Drive and W. Sandia Creek Terrace that resulted in a car going off the roadway and trapping the driver inside.
