    The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has issued its report on the number of DUI (Driving Under the Influence of drugs/alcohol) arrests made over the New Year's holiday weekend. From 6 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 31, 2014 to Sunday, Jan. 4, 2015, at 6 a.m., CHP officers arrested 69 individuals in San Diego County for DUI.     SAN DIEGO - San Diego County District Attorney Bonnie M. Dumanis announced today, Mon., Jan. 5, that her office’s Consumer Protection Unit, working with 41 other California District Attorneys and two City Attorneys has obtained a $9.87 million settlement and permanent injunction against Pleasanton-based Safeway Inc.
