    FALLBROOK – Fred H. Fahnestock of Fallbrook celebrated his 100th birthday on January 9. He is a veteran of WWII and flew 31 missions as the tail gunner on a B-24 (“Stardust”) in the 8th Air force over Europe. He married the love of his life, Jessie Mae Brooks, in 1938 and enjoyed their 75th anniversary last March. Jessie passed away in May.
