Marissa Graham won the 2005 National Police Rodeo Association championship for Barrel Racing. The Bonsall cowgirl, who is a freshman at Fallbrook High School, missed the last rodeo of the season in November due to a conflict involving a competition of the Fallbrook High School surf club on which she also competes. Last Thursday the Fallbrook High School boys wrestling teams fought valiantly against the Vista High School wrestlers, one of the best teams in their league. Although the varsity team lost, both the freshman and JV teams won their portions of this season’s first Home Dual. On Thursday, January 5, the boys from Fallbrook High School’s wrestling team squared off against Westview High’s team at Westview. Each of Fallbrook’s teams, freshman, junior varsity and varsity, won. The varsity team won by a score of 54-24, losing only three matches. Chris Fore was on the Game Day Operations Committee for the 2005 San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl. Fore spent the day of college football’s newest bowl game in the press box while working on administrative tasks the day before. “It’s just been a neat experience,” Fore said. Last Wednesday, the Fallbrook Warriors girls soccer team hosted the Poway Titans. The Warriors (6-3) have a young team that plans to be very successful in league play. The team is led by seniors Alex Zeringue, Jessica Almendarez and Katie Seeger. The County of San Diego has approved an amendment to the agreement to improve a Pala Mesa subdivision which will release the joint lien contract and terminate the holding agreement. Three members of Fallbrook High School’s surf team reached the finals of their event January 8 at the Interscholastic Surfing Federation meet at San Onofre State Beach. FALLBROOK — The Knights of Columbus have announced they will hold a Free Throw Championship on Saturday, January 21, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter’s Catholic School in Fallbrook.
