RIVERSIDE - A low pressure system moving down the California coast brought rain, gusty winds and a chance of snow to Riverside County today. A winter storm warning for mountain areas above 5,000 feet was scheduled to go in effect at 4 p.m. It will remain in effect until 10 p.m. Saturday, according to the NWS. SAN DIEGO - A low pressure system moving down the California coast brought rain to San Diego County today, Thurs., Nov. 21, contributing to scores of traffic accidents. There were 121 crashes reported on local highways and freeways as of 8 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which receives an average of 50-75 crash reports in a full 24-hour period when the roads are not wet.
