AGUANGA - A hiker who became ill near Crazy Horse Canyon Drive was rescued and airlifted to a hospital today, a county fire spokeswoman said. The hiker was reported ill around noon in a remote area near the Riverside-San Diego County border. A San Diego County helicopter airlifted the hiker to a safe zone, where a Mercy Air helicopter took him to a hospital in moderate-to-serious condition, said Jody Hagemann of the Riverside County Fire Department....
At about 12:30 pm today (Saturday), a problem with an overhead wire caused an outage on Main Street and beyond from Clemmens to the south and View to the north. According to SDG&E, about 1000 customers were affected and power should be restored at about 1:22 pm. It is unknown at this time what caused the problem with the overhead line. Saturday, Feb 5, at about noon, Christopher Earl Dustrude, 25, was arrested by U.S. marshals and went willingly after they were tipped by a woman who saw Dustrude's picture in the newspaper. He was at county mental hospital where he had checked himself in, in the Midway district on Rosecrans in San Diego. On Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 4:43 AM, officers from the San Jacinto Police Department responded to a fatal hit and run traffic collision in the city of San Jacinto.
