SAN YSABEL - A small earthquake struck a rural corner of San Diego County in the morning of Tuesday, Feb. 26. The preliminary magnitude 3.4 temblor, which had a depth around four miles, was recorded near Palomar Mountain at 6 a.m., according to the United States Geological Survey. SAN DIEGO - The Rancho Coastal Humane Society's San Diego Wildlife Center announced Monday, Feb. 25 the release of a Great Horned Owl back into the wild. The organization recovered the owl after it lost a territorial battle over Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. SDWC staff believes the owl was injured in a fight with a female Red Tailed Hawk. SAN DIEGO - A pair of San Diego area legislators announced Friday, Feb. 22 a bill to ban the sale of guns and ammunition at gun shows held at the Del Mar Fairgrounds.
