On Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m., junior and senior high school students gather in the Youth Chapel for music, prayer and Bible study. Their evening ends with fellowship, fun and snacks. The adults meet at 6:30 for a potluck dinner, followed by a discussion-based Bible study at 7:15. Prayer begins at 8. On March 4 The Stream will host a free workshop exploring ways to alter the habits that prevent us from being energized, relaxed and well. The two 14-and-under FAST Water Polo teams finished fifth and sixth in the Fall Grommet League championships played November 5 at La Jolla High School’s Coggan Pool. The 14-and-under boys finished fifth among the 16 teams in the league while the 14-and-under girls were sixth among 13 teams. “To finish in the first half is great,” said Jeremy Piasecki, the head water polo coach for FAST. The Fallbrook Fury Soccer Club is a competitive soccer club for boys and girls that competes in the Presidio Soccer League against other clubs from around San Diego and South Riverside counties. The season runs from June 1 to mid-December for U13 and below and June 1 to mid-November for U14 and above. FALLBROOK — Two weekends ago, the Fallbrook High School freshmen wrestlers competed for the last time this season at the Freshman County Championships. Of the 14 wrestlers who attended this tournament only one placed, even though this is an outstanding class of freshman wrestlers. They hold great promise for the future of wrestling in Fallbrook. Fallbrook Retired Teachers CRTA Div. #81 provided entertainment at their general meeting on Valentine’s Day. Members performed in a variety show that included readings, songs, dance, guitar, piano and autoharp. FALLBROOK — Zion Lutheran Preschool families celebrated Groundhog Day with a “Me and My Shadow” pizza party and sock hop on Friday, February 2, in the church’s Fellowship Center. The first scholarship is a $3,000 two-year educational scholarship to a four-year college or university. Recipients must carry a minimum of 12 units in order to qualify.
