I am writing this letter to ask the voters in the Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) to support Gerald Walson by voting for him. I have known Gerald Walson for 20 years and he has made Bonsall a better community by supporting issues to make it possible. He will make RMWD a better organization when he is elected director. Victor G. Smith...
As an individual who has lived in this community since 1998 I find it strange that the people in this valley oppose this quarry. Where do people think the aggregate used to build this valley came from? It did not come from here… it came from some other area. It is our turn now. When this quarry is up and operating, no one here will notice. They will have forgotten this fight. This is another case of “not in my backyard.” If we the people in California continue with opposition to every project we will do damage to our futur... Full story
On December 22, 2006, at 2 p.m., while returning from Christmas shopping, I was driving with my wife on East Alvarado, approaching the corner of Alvarado and Emilia, when suddenly my side window exploded in a shower of glass shards. We were able to pull over to the side of the road and exit the car. Two young men who were right behind and saw the incident stopped to help and see if we were okay. Apparently, we were the victims of a wrist rocket attack. Perhaps it was a youngster who had gotten one for Christmas and just... Full story
Rainbow Municipal Water District (RMWD) Division 1 voters (Bonsall, Fallbrook and Vista) need to turn out big time Tuesday, March 6, and give Pardee – and the county – a mandate that we will not tolerate their overly dense project on our homicidal Highway 76! RMWD should not annex this new development area – sharing our precious rationed water during periods of drought. It isn’t necessary to cluster dwellings at densities significantly greater than the surrounding areas, necessitating a sewage treatment plant polluti... Full story

The next stage of this project is beginning, led by Zebu Construction and Design, who is providing plans for the home. Thank you, Zebu, for your help! I...
It appears to me that lies and stupidity have replaced baseball as our national pastime. We as Americans are collectively spoon fed enough half-truths on a daily basis to fill the stadium that we won’t build for the Chargers. Twelve to 50 times a day I am guilt-tripped by the California State Government into the proposition that all children need healthcare and as a single man with no children I should pay for it. Frankly, I have had a stroke and have a heart condition and for the life of me I can’t get health insurance tha...
Please, this is not about not supporting the troops or being unpatriotic, so please do not waste your time responding with the pat line we have all heard already. This is about respecting and supporting each other in the Fallbrook and surrounding community, including those who live and work at Camp Pendleton. Why do we have to be BOMBarded day after day with frightening, deafening and house-rattling explosions? Granted they do not happen all the time, but when they do we all clench our teeth and grin and bear it. Why? I...
I’m only a 19-year old Palomar College student who soon plans to graduate with Phi Theta Kappa honors and further my education out of state. I plan on majoring in business and earning a minor in political science. Why is it I always come out on top when arguing about the issues I do? Is right wing logic just far superior to left wing logic? What do you think? Right wing logic is based on dealing with truth and facts which give a person a clear understanding. Left wing logic is fueled by those who love to deceive others and di...
