    Two Fallbrook players were selected to play in the National Field Hockey Indoor Tournament March 9-11 in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Kathleen Mellano and Devon Holman were among the ten players selected to the California team. All ten of those players were from San Diego County; eight are field players while two are goaltenders. Mellano and Holman are both juniors at Fallbrook High School.     Fallbrook High School’s girls basketball team reached the CIF Division I semifinals before a loss to second-seeded Helix at the Highlanders’ gym February 27. The 56-46 Helix win gave Fallbrook a final record of 23-7.     Fallbrook High School’s girls water polo team concluded its season February 15 with an 11-7 loss to Granite Hills in the first round of the CIF Division I playoffs.
