RIVERSIDE - A Menifee man accused of fatally beating a neighbor's Chihuahua with a golf club pleaded not guilty today to a felony animal cruelty charge. LONG BEACH - A man whose nude body was found on Nov. 10, 1974 in a large condominium complex in Long Beach was identified as Marine from Des Moines, Iowa, detectives said today. The body of Oral Stuart Jr. was found in the carport area of the complex near Spring Street and the San Gabriel River (605) Freeway, but the county coroner's office was unable to identify the man or determine the cause of death. SAN DIEGO - The tail-end of the last storm of the winter season moved eastward across San Diego County early today, dropping more rainfall and snow in the region. Before the storm clears out completely later today, it could drop an additional quarter-inch of rain in coastal and valley areas, and up to four inches of additional snow in the mountains, where the snow level was near 3,000 feet this morning, according to the National Weather Service. BLYTHE - A narcotics smuggling checkpoint set up on the westbound Interstate 10 Freeway near the Arizona border netted three alleged drug smugglers, according to authorities. Abraham Banuelos, 25, and Franklin Yovanni Moscoso, 24, of Omaha, Neb., and Jeremiah Seth Stoneberg, 31, of Tucson, Ariz., were arrested and booked into the Blythe jail on suspicion of possession and transportation of criminal proceeds, said Riverside sheriff's Sgt.
