SAN DIEGO - Kia Motors America and professional golfer Michelle Wie donated $50,000 today to Operation Hero, a program of the Camp Pendleton Armed Services YMCA. PALM SPRINGS - A Palm Springs woman who was allegedly abducted by her parolee ex-boyfriend was safe today and he was in custody, a police sergeant said. Police tracked down John Davis Wright, 31, and Elisa Hulett, 24, inside a vacant motel in the 2200 block of North Palm Canyon Drive around 7 p.m. Tuesday, about 3 1/2 hours after they responded to a call about an apparent kidnapping and domestic violence.
