A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held for the grand opening of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton’s new Mail Processing Facility on March 10. The structure achieved a Self-Certified Gold LEED rating due to its ability to reduce energy consumption by more than 30 percent. PALA – More than 45 local and national barbecue teams will compete for $7,500 in prize money and international rankings in the Pala Championship Barbecue Competition from noon to 5 p.m., Saturday, April 2, on Pala’s west parking lot.
