  • State Route 76 improvement alternative

    Updated Apr 1, 2010

I am a supporter of the improvements (widening and straitening) of Highway 76. The improvement is needed on one of the most dangerous stretches of road in the state, where accidents are common. The highway should be constructed to the best advantage for all. That should be Caltrans’ and the Board of Supervisors objective. We in 76 Action have been encouraging putting the expanded road in the section from Mission Road to Interstate 15 on the south side of the San Luis Rey River. A number of problems would be mitigated as a res...

  • Are we returning to slavery through Obamacare?

    Updated Apr 1, 2010

We constantly hear about slavery when the racist news media refers to Americans of Black Ancestry, but at one time the laws in this country, in England, and worldwide placed anyone (white or black) into servitude (slavery) who borrowed money and could not pay it back. America was the first country in the world to outlaw slavery. Today, slavery still exists in parts of the world. Socialization of healthcare is, in mine and many others opinion, a modified form of slavery. Are we, the “free and the proud,” returning to sla...

The announcement left directors and members of both meetings s... Full story

The Rainbow Valley Grange has and will continue to support the mission of Alcoholics Anonymous. In the last year, this business relationship has become untenable for the Grange. Repeatedly, after AA meetings, the Grange hall has been left unsecured with windows and doors left open. Both AA groups were advised of the situation. The problems continued and the rental agreement terminated... Full story

Several of us, ranging from seniors to teenage girls, attended a free self defense lesson on March 21 in Fallbrook at the United Studios of Self Defense. All this helps give us confidence knowing we have ways to protect ourselves and lessen our likelihood of being a victim. Beware you villains… there are now some very able women in Fal... Full story
