A 36-year-old Cardiff man died today after falling from his surfboard off the coast of Del Mar, authorities said. A fellow surfer pulled the the man -- whose name was withheld pending notification of kin -- from the ocean and brought him to shore near the 100 block of 20th Street, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office. A man suspected of damaging parked cars in downtown Vista overnight was jailed today for suspicion of felony vandalism. Someone called the sheriff's department shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday to report that two men were jumping on and kicking cars parked near The Wave Water Park, which left the vehicles visibly damaged, sheriff's Sgt. ANZA - One person was killed today in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 371 near the Cahuilla Creek Casino in Anza. California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched at 7:56 a.m. to an area close to where the casino is located.
