    A 36-year-old Cardiff man died today after falling from his surfboard off the coast of Del Mar, authorities said. A fellow surfer pulled the the man -- whose name was withheld pending notification of kin -- from the ocean and brought him to shore near the 100 block of 20th Street, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office.   • Vista: Police arrest 26-year-old man for suspicion of felony vandalism

    A man suspected of damaging parked cars in downtown Vista overnight was jailed today for suspicion of felony vandalism. Someone called the sheriff's department shortly after 11:30 p.m. Saturday to report that two men were jumping on and kicking cars parked near The Wave Water Park, which left the vehicles visibly damaged, sheriff's Sgt.     The baby who became ill aboard her family's sailboat about 925 miles off Cabo San Lucas was carried onto a Navy frigate early today, and the baby and warship are likely arrive in their homeport of San Diego sometime Wednesday.   • One Person Killed in Crash on Highway 371 near Cahuilla Reservation

    ANZA - One person was killed today in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 371 near the Cahuilla Creek Casino in Anza. California Highway Patrol officers were dispatched at 7:56 a.m. to an area close to where the casino is located.
