If upheld, the decision could reverse the rush to privatize products of nature that hold the potential to play a major part in revolutionizing medical therapy. With nearly 20 percent of human genes already patented, the lust to place human physiology in private hands has already resulted in multi-billion dollar industries centered on pumping profits out of fundamental natural processes. While a middle of the road modification to our for-profit...

The coastal breeze that blows in every afternoon at the south end of the Temecula Valley keeps our skies blue, our air clean and makes the area perfect for agriculture. Families have been flocking to this valley for a generation now because of the quality of life here. There is also a budding...
The Draft Environmental Impact Report is delayed by Caltrans until June. It’s time to voice our opinions on the SR76 expansion from Bonsall to Interstate 15. Caltrans is looking at two alternatives: (1) expand Pala Road or (2) redirect the highway south of the San Luis Rey River. SR76 will become a high-speed divided highway.
