    ESCONDIDO (Wire Service) - A fire scorched about two acres of brush west of the Lawrence Welk Resort today which prompted a closure of two southbound lanes on Interstate 15, according to Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol. The fire was reported about 4 p.m. on the west side of Interstate 15 about two miles south of Gopher Canyon Road, said Battalion Chief Nick Schuler of Cal Fire.     SAN DIEGO - East County rattled with a series of earthquakes overnight and today. Eleven minor or moderate quakes have rattled Ocotillo, a small scattering of homes just east of the San Diego-Imperial county line, in the overnight hours. A pair of magnitude-3.2 earthquakes were recorded six seconds apart at about 11 p.m. Saturday. A 3.2 magnitude quake was recorded at 1:15 a.m. by the U.S. Geological Survey.   • 95-year-old man hospitalized after tractor overturns

    AGUANGA - A 95-year-old man whose tractor overturned on a hill in Aguanga was hospitalized today. The accident along the 45500 block of Highway 371 was reported at 5:21 p.m. Saturday about a mile north of Highway 79, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Melody Hendrickson said.
