Jerald Gustavus Hindorff, 93, passed away April 8, 2007, at Manor Care, Hemet, CA. Born November 28, 1913, in Fallbrook, CA, he was a current resident of Sun City. Mr. Hindorff was an auto mechanic who owned an auto repair business in Fallbrook for 34 years. The Fallbrook Food Pantry, under the director of Don Luallin, serves thousands of hungry local citizens. The organization has a system of identification and record-keeping that controls the distribution of food. Hundreds of volunteers assist the organization and numerous entities pledge their support. The board of the San Luis Rey Municipal Water District approved a water quality monitoring program for groundwater in the district’s area. An explosion rocked Fallbrook High School at 8:05 a.m. the morning of April 3 and the 1,265 students seated in the football stadium bleachers were jolted to attention.
