Recently, I have been so distracted. I have been balking at a writing project that really needs some fine tuning, ministries that have been on my heart to undertake, some opportunities that I felt the Lord was calling me away from that broke my heart. It was as if I was running amok. In my walk of faith there have been times when I take my eyes off our Lord and stumble. This week has been like that. Bills piled up, decisions needed to be made, not to mention housework and… I hate to say the word… but… taxes had to be filed...

Your beauty should not come from outward adornment, such as braided hair and the wearing of gold jewelry and fine clothes. Instead, it should be that of your in...

In Fallbrook, Charley Wolk’s name is synonymous with avocado groves. Many would think that Wolk’s vast knowledge of avocados was something he must have learned growing up in a family agriculture business; however, this is not the case. Wolk was born and raised in St. Louis, MO – not an area where avocado groves are generally seen. His interest in avocados began when he moved to Fallbrook in 1972. “I lived in Fallbrook before traffic lights and shopping centers,” said Wolk...
