    FALLBROOK — Last week, the Presbyterian Church transformed itself into a Mexican town for the fun of the children of our village. A farmacia and a Mercado complete with baskets, leather goods and other items set the mood. Artists were at work throughout the campus as well, and the large modern sanctuary had the feel of a south-of-the-border party.     Kerry Popko won the Pole Bending event at the California Junior Rodeo Association (CJRA) competition July 8 at Camp Pendleton. The Fallbrook rider had a time of 20.55 seconds to win the competition.     The Fallbrook Rainbow Assembly members have been awarded major scholarships for college. Sai Han Ackerman has been awarded $2,500 per year for four years by California Masonic Foundation. Miss Ackerman is planning to attend UCLA. Shannyn Allan was awarded $7,500 by the State Eastern Star Ladies. In 2005 Miss Allan was the State Advisor for Rainbow Girls and traveled the state visiting assemblies.
