    UPDATE: Ivan Paterson was apprehended, arrested and booked on two counts of attempted murder and one count of child cruelty. Both victims were female and transported with non life-threatening injuries, according to SDSO Lt. Davis. Ivan Paterson is 24 years old, 6'4" and 250 lbs.     The iconic Oceanside Pier erupted in flames Thursday afternoon, sending billowing smoke into the sky as firefighters battled the blaze.
