If you want to see a community stand together; look at Rainbow! Rainbow Community Planning Group sent you a letter over a month ago asking you to stand up for us; to support us. I believe they asked you to take a stand regarding the proposed Liberty quarry project. Why didn’t you answer this plea? You just ignored us. In Rainbow and Fallbrook, there are thousands of residents willing to stand up against this project. Their names are on petitions. We have no “voice” in the decisions Riverside County Supervisors make. Rainb...
I was walking my dogs recently and two unleashed dogs were waiting for us at the corner. I promptly turned around thinking, “Why tempt fate?” and within 300 yards another dog was running unleashed through the neighborhood. I turned around and went home very frustrated and angry because some folks in our neighborhood are not responsible pet owners. Not to the point of lending my financial support to the Democrats, certainly. However, I did hear a willingness to “compromise.” This is more than I have heard from my own party’s leadership. Is “compromise” not a part of our ‘far rig... Full story

Several months ago we saw an advertisement in the Village News for a community-supported agriculture program run by Morning Song Farm in Rainbow. We thought it would be a great way to shop locally and eat better, so signed up for the small bi-weekly share program to test it out. Since we joined Morning Song’s program, we have been very pleased with the variety, quantity and quality of the produce we pick up every other week on harvest day. There have been a few vegetables and fruits we’d never eaten before so we’re tryin...
