A patriotic parade has been added to the all-day events to take place July 4 at Fallbrook’s Grand Tradition. Named “Hurray for the Red, White and Blue,” participants dressed in flag colors will parade around the Grand Tradition lake to favorite Americana songs. Saturday evening, April 29, produced two serious automobile-related accidents in the Fallbrook/Bonsall area. At approximately 8:25 that evening, Gumaro Gutierrez, 63, of Vista was found dead on State Route 76 in Bonsall. “Mr. Gutierrez was apparently trying to cross Highway 76 just east of Olive Hill Road, on foot, when he was struck by a vehicle that then left the scene,” said Tom Kearns, spokesman for the California Highway Patrol.
