FALLBROOK — At the April Senior Challenge Cribbage match on April 24, the Fallbrook Senior Center cribbage team won 87 games to Oceanside Senior Center team’s 74 wins. For the second month in a row, seven of the top nine places were won by the Fallbrook team. Leading the way this month were Ray Lanoue, Ed Wozniak and Roy Cook. FALLBROOK — It took just five minutes for Chris Isonaga to win La Caseta Restaurant’s “Big Del Burrito Challenge” held during Fallbrook’s Avocado Festival. This is the seventh year the restaurant has held the challenge and the first time Isonaga has attempted to eat the four-pound burrito. Susan Sullivan, a resident of Fallbrook since 1999, spends her time helping others – either at Save Our Forest or Fallbrook Hospital. “It makes me feel good to make others feel good,” said Sullivan. LAKE ELSINORE — On Monday, May 5, around 1:45 a.m., officers from the Lake Elsinore Police Department responded to the area of Lake Street and Cole Street in regard to a traffic collision. According to an official report, upon arrival officers found a Hispanic woman lying outside a white 1999 Honda Accord along the east shoulder of Lake Street. LOS ANGELES — A first-ever analysis from AAA finds that crashes involving teen drivers ages 15 to 17 cost $2.8 billion annually in California and more than $34 billion a year nationwide.
