    The San Diego County Sheriff's Dept. is continuing its aggressive practice of monitoring and suppressing gang activity and check on individuals currently on probation from committing crimes.   • Sheriff's deputies countywide now carry Naloxone for overdose emergencies

    Throughout San Diego County, all Sheriff's deputies on patrol are now equipped with Naloxone, it was announced today, Monday, May 18. Naloxone is used to counter the effects of opioid overdose (heroin, etc.) as it reverses the effect narcotics have on the body. According to Sheriff's Captain James Bovet, "Deputy Sheriff's at all patrol stations and substations carry Naloxone with them as an important lifesaving tool." Dustin Lukasiewicz, 28, a pilot of UH-1 Hueys, who was living with his wife in Fallbrook has been confirmed as one of eight who perished in a helicopter crash last week during a humanitarian mission in Nepal. Lukasiewicz, a member of HMLA-469, Marine Aircraft Group 39, 34d Marine Aircraft Wing based on Camp Pendleton, was a Nebraska native.     SAN DIEGO - A Camp Pendleton Marine who raped and sexually assaulted six women along El Cajon Boulevard over a five-year period was convicted today of eight felony charges. A jury found Ted Amparan guilty of rape, assault with intent to commit rape and kidnapping for rape after a trial that lasted two and a half weeks.
