One of Fallbrook's crown jewels, the Fallbrook Vintage Car Show will celebrate its Golden Anniversary tomorrow, Sunday, May 24, at Pala Mesa Resort in the Interstate 15 corridor. The 50th anniversary show is planned to be the biggest-ever and will feature some 420 eye-catching classic vehicles, 60 swap meet booths, a marching band, a beer and wine garden, disc jockey, numerous food vendors, raffles, and a live Beatles tribute band. OCEANSIDE - Two men suspected of taking part in a fatal assault at a North County park last winter were arrested today. Chris Augafa, 24, and David Ioane, 25, allegedly were part of a group that beat 24-year-old Mustafa Gordon to death at Buddy Todd Park in Oceanside three months ago, according to police. Approximately 1400 runners came out of the starting gate full of energy this morning, Saturday, May 23, when the Avocado Half Marathon and 5K began at Fallbrook's Live Oak Park. SAN DIEGO - The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in San Diego County decreased today for the sixth time in seven days, dropping 1.2 cents to $3.921. The average price is 6.2 cents lower than one week ago and 20.4 cents less than one year ago but 69.6 cents higher than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
