She was a registered nurse. She was active in the Fallbrook senior citizens community, an active volunteer in Fallbrook School District, PTA, and the Fallbrook Ag Department.     April 9, 1910 – May 8, 2007 John Fletcher passed away on May 8, 2007 at Fallbrook Hospital. He had recently celebrated his 97th birthday with a gala football-themed party at Silvergate where he lived. John was born in El Monte, California on April 9, 1910 and lived in Southern California all of his life. He lived in La Canada Flintridge for 27 years.     It was the perfect weekend for the Fallbrook Youth Fair -- overcast skies and cool temps. Two years ago on the fair’s 50th Anniversary the temperature soared to 89 degrees, which made it a bit uncomfortable for the FFA and 4-H members in uniform not to mention the ‘wool class’ sheep with their heavy coats! The Optimist-sponsored event was held Saturday and Sunday May 19 and 20 at the Fallbrook Union High School Ag Department.     Fallbrook was the site for Rainbow Connection’s Regional “La Bling Tour 2007” Dance Competition on May 12 and 13 at Fallbrook High School’s Bob Burton Performing Arts Center.   • Tractor-trailer crashes on I-15 near SR76

    FALLBROOK- On May 16, at approximately 11:22 a.m., Yogesh K. Shazma, age 39, from Baladine, IL was traveling southbound in a tractor trailer on I-15 north of SR-76 when the truck drifted off the roadway and traveled approximately 300 feet down a steep embankment, crashing into the hillside. Shazma, who was in the number four lane, was traveling at approximately 55 miles per hour.
