She was a retired seamstress and office manager for Parsons Ammonia and Sun Electric. Marylene was a devoted Christian, loving mother and family member plus friend to all she met.     Debbie Casserly passed away on May 16, 2010 after an over two year battle with cancer, in the comfort of her own home surrounded by loved ones. She was such a strong person and she was determined to beat the cancer and in the end, she did; the cancer is gone. She will be missed by all of those who loved her and remain in our hearts forever.   • La Paloma students take part in planting project

    FALLBROOK— On May 14, Save Our Forest’s (SOF) school outreach program began again at La Paloma Elementary School. Over 200 fourth grade students planted seedlings in containers under the direction of SOF volunteers. These were taken to the SOF nursery, and a year from now, the students will be reunited with the plants at the Heller’s Bend Reserve where they will plant them permanently.
