  • The class war

    Updated Jun 2, 2011

The election result in NY’s House race was significant. American voters can be awakened to the fact that the vast majority are being fleeced by the Republican agenda. The push to address the federal budget and national debt is a very good thing (a dumb thing to do when facing a double dip recession, but that’s another topic). Updated Jun 2, 2011

The photo of the Matilija Poppy in the May 19, 2011 issue of the Village News resembles an angel with a halo, alighting on a treetop. How poetic is that? This letter is in recognition of the kindness, care and compassion shown by Dr. Sid Ferguson, DVM, and his staff at the Bonsall Pet Hospital. On May 13, our beloved, 11-year-old German shepherd collapsed at home and could not get up again. She had been on supervised medication for severely arthritic hips for over a year. We immediately called the Bonsall Pet Hospital, and Dr. Ferguson took the call himself, in the midst of busy office hours. We discussed the situation briefly, and concluded sadly that Kari’s “time had com...
