    FALLBROOK – Under the leadership of chairwoman Dannai Mungo, the Fallbrook Woman’s Club recently collected 269 pairs of women’s shoes, 188 purses, 14 pairs of children’s shoes, 2,610 toiletry items, and $670 in monetary donations as part of the “Purses and Pretty Feet” effort designed to help the needy women and children being assisted by the Women’s Resource Center in Oceanside.     ESCONDIDO – On May 24, the San Diego Archaeological Center announced the launch of Blue Star Museums, a partnership with the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, and more than 600 museums across America that will offer free admission to all active military personnel and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day 2010.     FALLBROOK – The Fallbrook Senior Center cribbage team has made winning in 2010 a habit with its fourth win of the year. The 45 player match saw Fallbrook win 82 games to Oceanside’s 79.     Francis “Paul” Stiles passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2010. Paul was born May 11, 1916 in McFarland, Calif. to Frank M. Stiles and Sadie Heard Stiles. He loved to fly, purchasing his first airplane before he was 16. After two years of Jr. College, at the age of 23, he joined the US Navy.     Lester M. (Les) Fulcher passed away Sunday, May 16, 2010 in Escondido, California. He was born January 16, 1928 in Stone, Kentucky. Les attended college in the Bay Area and then joined the Marines in 1947 and was on active duty until 1955. Like many men of his generation, his military service was the defining force in his life and was never forgotten. In 1955 he was employed by the Stauffer Chemical Co. as a chemical engineer.
