    FALLBROOK — For the seventh year, the Big Del Burrito Challenge is being offered at La Caseta restaurant during the Fallbrook Avocado Festival. Last year, 22 brave souls attempted to devour the four-pound burrito but only 12 managed to win the challenge by eating it in the one hour allowed. Jesus Perez consumed his in 4 minutes, 46 seconds, making him the 2006 winner.   • Local hopes to save lives, money with invention

    FALLBROOK — Local resident Don Cokeley and his partner, John Aho of Oceanside, have patented a device they say will reduce modular rollovers caused by wind on the highways, therefore saving lives and substantially reducing insurance losses. Cokeley estimates that insurance claims for mobile and modular losses could currently total $25 to $40 million per year.
