  • Free putting tournament for wheelchair golfers

    FALLBROOK – A free putting tournament will be hosted for wheelchair golfers from June 10 to August 10 by U.S. of A. Golf School and golf teaching professional Barry Krumwiede.     TEXAS - The NAIA has announced that Hastings College shortstop and Fallbrook High alum Sonny Hughey is one of 228 baseball student-athletes honored as a 2011 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.     SIOUX FALLS, SD - University of Sioux Falls (USF) senior and Fallbrook High alum Cody Burgener has been named to the Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC), 2011 All-Conference, Baseball First-Team. Burgener, a Bonsall resident, also earned Gold Glove honors for his outstanding defensive play in the outfield. Burgener led the Cougars with a .393 batting average and 32 stolen bases.
