    DE LUZ - A brush fire that erupted today in the hills west of Temecula scorched roughly 7.6 acres and threatened homes, prompting evacuations. As of 3:30 pm all evacuations continue to stay in place, although the forward rate of spread has been stopped.     SAN DIEGO - Authorities have publicly identified a 33-year-old man who was killed over the Fourth of July weekend in a motorcycle crash on state Route 76 near Palomar Mountain. Jorge Villa of Temecula was trying to pass a slower-moving pickup truck about 6:30 p.m. Sunday when his westbound two-wheeler struck the larger vehicle in the area of Sengme Oaks Road in Pauma Valley, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner's Office and California Highway Patrol.     SAN DIEGO - A 33-year-old Temecula man died when his motorcycle crashed into the back of Toyota truck on state Route 76 near the La Jolla Indian Reservation, the California Highway Patrol said today. SDG&E and County Roads were dispatched to assist North County Fire because a nearby power line pole and traffic light pole were struck and damaged.
