SAN DIEGO - Authorities released the name today of a 22-year-old Marine killed last week in a North County motorcycle crash. David Gainey of Temecula was riding to the east at high speed in the 2000 block of East Mission Road in Fallbrook when he lost control of his 2006 Kawasaki shortly before 6 p.m. Wednesday, according to the county Medical Examiner's Office. ANZA - Storm cells today pounded southern Riverside County, where a lightning strike touched off a fire and intense rain made driving conditions perilous in places. The storms developed in northern San Diego County and, by noon, moved into Anza and Idyllwild, according to the National Weather Service.
