    A motorcyclist was killed today by a crash on Highway 74 east of Hemet. Firefighters were dispatched at 10:48 a.m. to the highway, in the Bee Canyon area approaching the Cranston Ranger Station. It was not immediately disclosed how the eastbound motorcyclist crashed. He or she suffered critical injuries and was taken to a hospital, Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman said.   • Beach cleanups scheduled throughout San Diego County following Fourth of July mess

    Beaches and waterways around San Diego County are scheduled for post-holiday trash clean-ups today. At 8 a.m., volunteers with the Surfrider Foundation will pick up garbage at the Ocean Beach Pier, Belmont Park in Mission Beach, Crystal Pier at Pacific Beach and the Oceanside Harbor beach. Last year, more than 450 volunteers removed 2,372 pounds of trash and 195 pounds of recycling from four beaches in only two hours, according to the foundation.     Pez dispensers full of money turned up buried in the sands of Pacific Beach today, as the San Francisco man with too much money sprinkled San Diego beaches with cash for the first time. "No need to go up the hill,'' tweeted @HiddenCash, referring to the bluff above the beach. "They're all buried in the the sand.''
